Very happy to have an option other than Starbucks. Coffee has been great every time. Their panini was pretty average. Service has been good, but some do appear to still be in training since new. Will definitely continue to go back.

Free Wifi and a pretty good sandwich. I wasn't blown away by anything amazing in here but I would go back if it was the closest place to get a turkey sandwich. But with Hoodies subs just down the street why settle

Had dinner last night. While the food was adequate, the staff are not very well trained. I asked a simple question that counter staff could not answer. I do not think it is brain surgery to recognize if the roasted chicken on the caesar salad is all white meat or not. The food was pretty good, less expensive than Le Madeleine but not as good. The serving was generous and the ambiance is pleasant.

Friendly staff and decent food. Been there three times. Last time I had the Chicken Carbonara and it was delicious and a very generous portion! Also had the mozzarella tomato salad. Wife had the Santa Fe ranch salad and it was just ok. Really like the decor and the staff really tries hard.

Just got back from my first time at this place, and I have to admit, my expectations were not high, so I was VERY pleasantly surprised. I wasn't aware that they served "healthy" food, but was delighted to see the calorie count for all items as I am always watching my weight. My husband, on the other hand, needs lots of calories, so that helped him choose his breakfast as well. I got the steel cut oatmeal, which was yummy. It was served with this amazing cinnamon raisin crisp which was well worth all 150 calories!! My husband got the baked french toast, with eggs and bacon. He also really liked his breakfast, but the thing that shocked me was just how good the baked french toast was, because I am not a big fan of french toast. It tasted more like a bread pudding, and both of us loved it. The service was great, and our server was especially sweet and helpful. We're delighted to have such a good place so close to home. Can't wait to go back for lunch sometime soon.

After reading reviews here before lunch with friends today, I had very low expectations about the food, the time it would take to get it, and the cleanliness of the restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. Food was yummy (I had the first salad on the menu, spinach and fruit with a vinagrette), food came out in a reasonable time, and the floors and tables were clean. It was busy but not overly crowded. Person who brought our food didn't include silverware and we had to ask for some, but that wasn't really a big deal. Not 4 stars from me only because I'm not going to go crazy over a place that is mainly soup/salad/sandwich and is self-serve. I would come back.
(3)Happy Z.
I think this was one of the situations where when they first opened they had a positive vibe of excitement and "newness" - the last three times I've gone in the salad has been wilted, the employees are less friendly (some new ones), and it takes a lot longer than it used to. I wish they could get back to the Corner Bakery I went to before.. that was AWESOME. The Great Hills Trail location is a little better.
(2)Janice B.
My friends and I went there for breakfast and we sat outside. The serve was good and the food good. The Staff came outside and cleaned the tables. They were very friendly.

I was so excited that they were opening up a place not too far from where I live. Being a native Californian it was like having something familar in our own back yard. I should have just kept the memories and not stopped in. It was crowded which is usually a good sign. I was glad to see business booming. Nice set up, clean with a friendly group working the counter. Thats where it ended. Like the other reviews. They too screwed up our order. We ordered one specialty sandwhich, one baked pototo soup in a bread bowl and a salad. How in the hell do you screw that up?? They got my husbands sandwhich right and we insisted that he start eating while the fixed the rest of the order. Over 20 mins to get a house salad and have some soup slapped in a bread bowl. The first waitress was as limp in the brain as the dill pickle on my husbands plate. She brought my daughter and I the wrong food and even with looking at her ticket and our receipt she just couldn't understand how it was messed up. It took again 20 mins for them to take my salad to the back to just throw on some nasty looking chicken shavings. Not roasted chicken, well I am sure somewhere in time it might have been by an oven that was roasting chickens...but not this one. It did not say "Shaved Chicken" it said "Roasted Chicken". In comparison to the other stores in their chain...it was awful. The sad thing is my husband is right, its a huge company and they are not going to give a damn about my review or anyone elses on here. But, if I can save someone else some $$$$ by not going then its worth it. Take the money you will save and run next door to Sprouts and pick up your own fixings and make it your self. Run across the parking lot and hit Quiznos, Freddies, hell go to McDonalds...just stay clear of this place unless you have time and money to burn.

We drove by and saw the sign last night so I couldn't wait to try it today. However I was definitely let down. When we go there the place was 3/4 full on the inside and only two tables used outside. We stood there looking at the menu trying to figure out what to order (I wasn't impressed that there was no kids menu) no one offered to help us out or explain anything. So after about 5 minutes we settled on getting our sons a bagel (one with cream cheese one with out) a tomato and Mozzarella sandwich and the American Slammer. It took 26 minutes for our food to come (except the plain bagel that was given to us at the counter) and when we got our food the mozzarella was warm (gross) and the American Slammer was cold. It was like they had made everything in a huge batch and put it in chafing dishes and then put them in the cooler. So my husband took it to the counter and asked them to make it fresh. we waited another 38 minutes and then I got up to find a manager to find out what the heck was going on. After another 15 minutes of waiting she brought it out along and guess what the food wasn't hot or even room temperature. It was still cold I felt horrible for my husband because he went ahead and ate it because he was hungry and the rest of us were done with our food. It is a shame this place couldn't get their act together and that the management didn't really care about their patrons happiness. I don't think we will ever go back and that is sad being as we always take our friends to our favorite places and spread the word when places are good.
(1)Victoria F.
Like someone else said, they have got to get their act together. I ordered two simple items. Just two. One was a food item, and one was a beverage. They screwed it up. It took forever to get my order even though there was no one else waiting. Been there, done that, and don't have to do it again.
(2)Christine S.
This is first time I've ever wrote a review. My wife and I like to experience new places so we saw this place. We were not greeted at the door and were confused of what to do, but we figured it out. We ordered are meals and was told to sit and wait with the number he gave us. I had gotten a lemon pound cake for starters and it was good until my wife pointed out a black hair in it. We pushed it a side and then, we waited for 35 mins for are little sandwiches. When we did receive them they were cold . The whole time we were there we were never greeted or asked if all was right. The only time they did come over was to asked I they could take my plate with a half eaten sandwich on it. At that point it was getting busy and they needed seating. We will not go back . I agree with the last review and we will just go to Panera next time. We did not have a good experience.
(2)Jessica C.
This is no Panera. Food is extremely over priced for what they give you. One of their employees stopped by our office today to hand out menus and coupons for a free soup with a purchase of a salad or sandwich. A few of my co-workers and I placed orders and went to pickup our food only to discover the coupons are a mere trick to lure you into the place. Once there to pick up our orders, I found the full size sandwiches are over $9.00 and if you order half a sandwich they take a whopping $1.00 off so you are then paying $8.00 for a half a sandwich that anywhere else would probably be around $4.00-$5.00 at the most. While the sandwich was tasty, it was very small for the price. I left feeling cheated and ripped off. Will not be going back. I'll stick to Panera from now on.

I have been waiting for this place to open! They are just down the street from my work. We got takeout. The young woman who answered the phone was very enthusiastic. They have several soups of the day. My coworker got the cheddar broccoli and I ordered the combo signature sandwich with a mixed greens salad. The sandwich was the Poblano Fresco. The sandwich came on a fresh tasty baguette type roll. The roll had some spice mixed in. The sandwich had fresh avocado, melted white cheddar cheese, jicama slaw and roasted red peppers. The spread was chipotle lime mayo. The combination of flavors was very good, I liked it a lot. I am picky about the greens in my salad and these appear to be fresh for the most part with sliced tomato and croutons. The dressing that came with it was a vinagrette. Not sure if there are choices for dressings. My coworker enjoyed her soup. It was cheesy with tender pieces of broccoli. It came with a fresh slice of french bread. They have a good selection for vegetarians including several large salads, paninis, sandwiches and soups. They also serve breakfast. I look forward to trying more things on the menu soon. I got takeout so can't speak much about the decor or service. For the first day it was busy. They mixed up my order but hey it's their first day. They corrected it very quickly. I was greeted at the door by maybe the manager which was a nice touch.

I read through some pretty dismal reviews of this place, and had to add my own positive one. We went there today (a Sunday) around noon. It was busy, but there were still some tables. We were the first in line at the counter. We didn't wait long at all for our food. As mentioned in another review, our server forgot to bring me a fork, but got it for me immediately. I ordered a sandwich with fresh mozzarella, tomato, roasted red pepper, fresh basil and vinaigrette on ciabatta bread. For an extra fee, I replaced my chips with a Caesar salad. I loved both the sandwich and the salad. The ciabatta bread was nice and crusty, but not as tough as it can be sometimes where everything shoots out of the sandwich while you're trying to bite it. Everything was nice and fresh. The tomatoes were a bit green in the middle, but they tasted fine. (My husband suggested they were "heirloom" tomatoes and I went with it.) The salad had great flavor, a nice amount of grated real parmesan cheese, homemade croutons, and was not drowned in dressing. My husband had a bowl of Roasted Tomato Basil soup. Very flavorful - seemed to have tiny bits of garlic and onion, and came with homemade croutons and a piece of bread. He also got the egg salad sandwich. It had lettuce and tomato on it. The bread was white bread, but not like Wonderbread - "homemade". I took a bite of the sandwich; while I'm not a fan of mayonnaise, I was pleasantly surprised to taste fresh dill mixed in the egg salad. He also enjoyed the lemonade. We would definitely go back. We are both vegetarians, and there was so much on the menu for us to choose from.

I am really loving this place. I usually order the club panni which is very tasty. I've been stopping in and picking up treats to take to the clinic I work at. Everyone raves about how good they are. The snickerdoodles are highly sought after.. Never had a problem with wait times or cleanliness.
(5)Valarie B.
This is one of my favorite places!! I don't understand the negative reviews....but then I never considered comparing CB to Panera (Which is good, because I don't like Panera at all!!) This is one of my & my daughter's "Go-to" places.
(5)Russ D.
I drive by the place each morning, so enthusiastic about another restaurant in the neighborhood. Too bad for me!! Went at 11:15AM and waited 20 minutes for our order (for 2 adults.) Place was 1/2 empty with lots of employees, so we didn't understand the wait. Food was average at best - I can make a sandwich better than this and I'm no chef. There are a lot of other places in Round Rock that are terrific, so I can't picture why I would ever go by again...
(2)Val M.
It was a nice place. Friendly staff, great food good price. We will be going back and using their to go option. Cookie was amazing!
(5)Cynthia D.
This place rocks! Yummy meals, free wifi, limitless fountain bevvies (including tasty flavored iced tea). Today I brought my kid for lunch and discovered they offer one of the most generous kids' meals I've ever seen for $3. He got a decent sized ham sandwich, fresh fruit (actually fresh), a pickle, chips and a Capri Sun. $3! I ordered the caprese grilled sandwich, a chopped salad and chips and I was full! Great lunch. If you go after the lunch rush you won't have a problem finding seats. This location has super clean bathrooms (just something I like to check out). I love catching up on work here, too ... The only downside is there aren't enough outlets.
(4)Antoinette G.
I've been here for both breakfast and for lunch. This morning my husband and I arrived at 8:08 (just 8 minutes after opening) to see several tables with crumbs on them. Really? Do you expect me to believe that people came in and ate and left in 8 minutes? Nope--it's clear that someone didn't wipe down the tables from the night before. Either that or the staff comes in before they open and eats and doesn't bother to clean the tables. The floor was sticky--both near the beverage area and all in the bathroom. I don't even want to wonder why. The value: for a quick order at the counter place, this place is expensive. Their salads are pricey for the size even without meat (such as chicken), so once you add the meat protein, you might as well dine at a full service restaurant.
(2)Patrick B.
They are great! I got stuck behind a stopped train for 45mins right around the corner from them, coming home late from work. I called and ordered for my wife who was ill and told them im not sure if I would make it by 9pm. They said just come and we will have it before 9:30. They saved me and made my wife very happy. THANK YOU CORNER BAKERY!
(5)Nick L.
I highly recommend Corner Bakery for lunch or dessert. I like all of the sandwitches and pastas. For the price the food is really tasty. Don't forget your sweet treats on the way out. The lemon pound cake is serious! The service is great and the food is yummy.
(4)Jim C.
These guys are great! Amazing service, super polite and helpful! I forgot to order my drink after ordering my families meal and they just put it on the house, how amazing! Little thing as I spent on meals for 6 but still made me feel good!! Had breakfast pancakes, eggs and bacon. Everything was perfect and would definitely come back again soon. I brought my wife and 4 kids and we all were very pleased!
(5)John D.
Great food. Awesome service. My favorite casual restaurant in the Austin area. I especially like their hot food and their bakery items. The people at the counter are so friendly and patient when taking your order. They also have free Wi Fi and a very comfortable environment. Try them out! If you like Panera you will LOVE Corner Bakery.
(5)Corey F.
So I did as you instructed and never heard a thing from your corporate office. On another note, I decided to dine in this evening. The food was really good. The men's restroom on the other hand...awful! It looked like a toilet overflowed and there was water everywhere. I won't go in to details about the toilet but there should have been an out of order sign on the door leading in to the restroom. I mentioned it to the person at the counter and they said they were aware but didn't do anything after that. I really want to like this place because the food and deserts are so good but the service really stinks.
(3)desirae t.
Two stars because they were pretty quick at rush time lunch and when I went back to the front the kid behind the counter was overly nice and apologetic. I paid $9 for a bland cup of soup and sorriest salad I've ever seen. I got the soup and salad combo. The tomato basil soup tastes like they just put a lot of water into the pasta sauce and called it soup. The salad was supposed to be cafe sized and I'm not sure what that is but salad was more like a small side. They put it in a larger container and only put half the amount of lettuce. Half of that lettuce by the way, was inedible- most of it was the core of the romaine. You really need to throw that away. When I got a new one, they did put more lettuce in, but then just way too much cheese to fill the rest. So thanks for that.. This place is way too overpriced for what you're getting.
(2)Katrina C.
When this restaurant opened, my family LOVED it! After about the first month or so, the food quality seemed to decrease, and the staff was not as friendly / punctual with the food. We still go, but rarely. They do have some "newer" menu items, so those may be better - I haven't tried them yet. I've had their coffee several times, and I usually have to ask for the cup to be filled- it's been just over half full. The last time it happened, the young woman seemed irritated, so I simply stopped ordering coffee. I will say the baked goods are pretty tasty. If we go now-a-days, it's usually only for the dessert.
(3)Rebecca H.
Stopped by to get breakfast but door was locked. It was 8:06 am. I jiggle it 2-3 times hoping some one to open the door but no one paid any attention. I read hour of operations on Sunday 8:00 amI left to get breakfast elsewhere. I go there every weekend now I am afraid to drive there. If ya want to get breakfast--show up at 9 am I am sure they will have time to open the door .
(2)Soubhi K.
I love the breakfast sandwiches, and the veggie sandwiches, and the sesame kale salad, and the tomato, mozzarella, arugala salad. Their brownies are awesome, the lemon bars are delish, and they have hibiscus lemonade. It's not a fancy place, but it's pretty good food for a pretty low price.
(4)Amy D.
Today me & my friends stopped by after shopping at Sprouts. It was our first time at Corner Bakery Cafe. I ordered the corner combo & chose the smoKED hAm ON MOM'S WHITE (410 cal) & potato soup it came with chips and pickle...it was delicious. !.. The café is really nice, service was friendly & fast. One of the guys offered to put our milk in the fridge !!...that was really kind of him.. My friends & i decided we are going to return next time for dessert!!... Btw the hibiscus lemonade is so good!!...I went back for another refill!
(4)Tiffany L.
My mom and I stopped in here on a whim and it was well worth it. I'd say it's a nicer Jason's Deli. The food we had was very tasty. They had a pretty wide variety of choices. I liked it. We'll go back for sure.
(4)Patrick S.
I have usually received good service here but this morning was the exception. Although they were not very busy, it took way too long for our meal to arrive and mine was cold. The person who brought our food was friendly enough but I detest cold eggs and potatoes.
(2)Monte R.
Austin/Round Rock so desperately needs breakfast/lunch places that are NOT fast food garbage. Corner Bakery is one of the few places around that serves "somewhat" healthier food: chicken salad sandwiches, oatmeal, veggie sandwiches, etc. But, at best, the food just tastes ordinary or okay. They seem to try and I'll give them credit. It's just each dish is missing something and I can't figure it out. It's reasonably priced but I just wished it tasted better - they need more creative ingredients, perhaps - mango chutney on the turkey sandwiches, is an idea. I hate hating on a joint that is dishing up okay to decent food in a sorely lacking area of the food desert that is Round Rock ... but it is what it is. I mildly recommend it - just lower your expectations.
(3)Natalie R.
Love love love this place! It has an awesome variety of food and right by my house! I have gotten breakfast, lunch, and dinner at this place and have never been disappointed. I will continue to bring my service here, especially because I read a sign saying they are closing for Easter tomorrow. I will continue to bring my service to a place that will close for a day because it is important for people to be with their families.
(4)Soleil H.
From the beginning my experience was great. Clean establishment, courteous staff and good prices! The food quality is somewhere between panera and jasons deli, and is quite affordable! I recommend the broccoli cheddar soup, and the turkey sandwich with avocado, yum!! Kid friendly, and the more even threw in a free drink because it was my first visit. I will be back! :) P.s. breakfast served all day!
(4)Ki K.
Bad food, bad service and poor prices. The only reason why I gave this place 2 stars is because the place seemed clean and the pancakes were decent. Eggs were horrible, chai was almost all foam, and service was non-existent.
(2)Julian C.
Ya know, it's not bad but I wouldn't recommend getting the french toast there. It's like a thick loaf of something. I also wish they had real maple syrup for my pancakes :( I would describe it as a coffee shop with a more expanded menu than a bakery.
(3)Rick G.
I've been to many corner bakeries because the food is pretty tasty. That is why since thus location opened I continue to come back and give them an opportunity every other month or so to redeem themselves. I'm not sure if this is corporate or franchise but something is sorely lacking in management training and service. Today, in my latest foray I order a bowl of soup. Not too difficult I would say. It comes out half a bowl. What he heck? I'm not sending it back because, well, I just don't have faith in what I'll get back. At least it was tasty. I guess it will be another couple of months before I pop back in.
(1)Isabelle K.
Taste like la Madeleine or panera. Serving is fast. It's about $8 salad for lunch. The kitchen forgot my chicken
(3)Sylvia H.
-4 stars for sloooooow service. Great franchise corner bakery should be ashamed of this location its ruining the brand.....lacking is the maintenance and service. If it had fast service and was clean this could easily been a 4-5 star review cause I love t
(1)Diane W.
Good service and good food for a fair price. The spinach salad was good and orzo soup excellent. My daughter enjoyed the spicy Asian pulled pork sandwich.
(4)Rick G.
The menu is ok. If you are looking for a low carb dish there is little to choose from. The food and service was great. The prices are reasonable. Nice atmosphere and clean restaurant. Hope to be back soon to try some other dishes.
(5)Richard A.
3rd visit to this location. Either they changed the menus that are located just inside the door or we were blind the first two visits, because we just noticed that they aren't prices in the menus. This isn't very helpful to the customer but sure is an awesome ploy to get more $$$. We both ordered panini sandwiches and saw that the menu said that you could substitute a caesar salad for the chips, so we did. Remember I said that the menu had no prices, well it also doesn't tell you that that substitution costs extra, like $1.95 extra. The counter person wasn't very good either. He had trouble figuring out that we wanted the caesar salads and not the chips. Took 3 explanations which ended with me showing him the wording in the menu before he had his aha moment. Food was good, so still ok. We'll probably return but it's not a high priority.
(3)Troy H.
A good variety of sandwiches and desserts for your appetite. We have eaten here a few times and we have all liked the variety the place offers. I prefer the panini styled sandwiches and the flavors they have. Overall, the price is not that bad and the service is always good and the place is always clean. Its a good addition and food variety to the area since they have been opened.

We first discovered Corner Bakery Cafe on our honeymoon in San Francisco. This adorable little bakery chain is more prevalent than Starbucks in San Francisco's business district so it was only a matter of time before we checked it out on our week long adventure in California. Shortly after arriving back home to Round Rock, we were pleasantly surprised to see a piece of San Francisco popping up just a few miles from home! The staff here is friendly, the food is tasty and consistent. I have happily made Corner Bakery one of my regular lunch stops and it's a great place to setup business meetings as well! The space is always clean and tidy and usually not too crowded or loud, making it ideal for meeting friends of just having a quiet lunch alone!
(4)Kerry S.
My first time coming here, went to the round rock location looking for some breakfast. The Anaheim panini was amazing and their dark roast coffee hit the spot. Will definitely be back some time for lunch.
(5)Laura S.
I do a lot of catered food orders for the company I work for. Corner Bakery makes it so convenient to order online and also provides delivery options. We ordered build a sandwich platter with tossed greens. The food was great and Raven, the girl who delivered the food, was absolutely sweet and professional. We are definitely having them cater again!
(5)Anna C.
I love eating at Corner Bakery! My favorite is the spinach salad, and I get it every time. I also highly recommend the cinnamon cream cake - it's amazing!
(4)Ella H.
I was invited to Corner Bakery located by Sprouts for lunch once this week. When I arrived around eleven (am) there were few customers. The patio was empty and appeared clean. The place was really quiet. We approached the counter and I was delighted by the menu! Calories are posted on the board along side the descriptive captions. There are vegetarian options clearly marked. My friend and I ordered the cafe size Chopped Salad. When looking for a table I was surprised that almost every deserted table in the entire place was dirty and in need of busing. We wondered through the whole seating area looking for somewhere to sit. We chose a table based on 'least objectionable debris' and wiped it ourselves. The chairs around us were also in need of attention. The place was so neglected that I wonder what the kitchen looks like - better I hope. We waited an exceptionally long time (at least a half hour) for two identical salads in an almost empty restaurant! Fortunately we were not in a hurry. When the salads arrived I was thrilled - not only was I seriously hungry at that point but it was a larger salad then I anticipated! I really enjoyed the salad and for that reason I would go back. By the time our food arrived there was a line literally out the door and down the sidewalk. Every table was filled and the noise level was quite high - So high that I could barely hear my friend speaking. In the end I am left with the understanding that one should never attempt this place if in a hurry and never at peak dining times. I would also not risk it with food allergies. That being said the salad was unusually good. This alone is the reason for three stars and not two. If the speed and cleanliness were improved drastically it would be a great place. The free wifi is also a plus. Allergen note - Peanut butter sandwiches are served here on the kids menu and with the state of the dining room upon arrival I would not risk the possibility of cross contamination from peanuts or any other allergen.

I live in North Austin/Pflugerville/Round Rock. This particular Saturday morning I was coming up blank on a breakfast place that wouldn't be crowded and not too expensive. I had forgotten that this location even existed as I was headed to the green and white logoed coffee shop in the same complex. However, as soon as I pulled into the complex I knew I had to eat at Corner Bakery Cafe! The gal who greeted me and took my order was very friendly and happy even though it was FREEZING outside which doesn't make for the best moods. It was not very crowded which I appreciated it. I wasn't in a mood (blame the weather) to deal with a bunch of people or be in the presence of a ton of folks. I ended up ordering the chicken sausage breakfast panini with egg whites and a side of oven roasted potatoes. The guy behind me got his panini sandwich a few minutes before I did which kind of bothered me but no big deal. I didn't have any where to be....I had nothing but time. The sandwich was great! I love chicken apple sausage. The oven roasted potatoes had onions in them which I didn't know and they weren't very flavorful. Overall, I'd go back to this location. It is not far from where I live and the rest of the menu looks great as well as the pastries they offer.

Corner Bakery is a new addition to the Round Rock area and is conveniently located at 110North I-35, Suite 180, Round Rock, TX 78681 - in the same plaza as McDonalds. They open early for the coffee drinkers and are open well past dinner. Not only do they serve freshly brewed coffee but throughout the day you can order a Panini and some of the best soups I've ever tried. Broccoli and cheese is my favorite but they only serve it Sunday - Tuesday. Quiet environment and friendly staff. Place your order at the counter and they'll bring it to your table when it's ready.

Delicious! First time here and what a refreshing surprise of options for us vegetarians. I had the lentil soup and truffle mocha and they were great. When i told my cashier it was my first time he have me the soup gratis! Prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly. Keep up the great job!
(5)Ashley O.
The food is always fresh and tasty. I haven't had a bad meal there. The staff is great too.
(5)Tyler S.
Literally C minus food at best. My wife and I went here on a whim to try it out. Got some pasta for a hefty price of $30.00. And a fruit cup with 7 one inch cubes of fruit for $4.00. Tasted like a lean cuisine microwave dinner that they threw in for half the time specified on the directions. The turd I'm about to fire out will probably have more flavor than my meal. Don't waste your time or money on this poor excuse for a restaurant. Complete fail
(1)C C.
I've been here twice. The place looks inviting enough, but there is nothing exceptional about the food in this place. On my first visit, I got the Anaheim panini. I thought the sandwich was sparsely filled for the price. It was ok. On my second visit, I got a Harvest salad and the DC chicken salad sandwich. My salad had pieces of rotten lettuce in it, so I took it back. It was returned to me along with a free cookie, and I found another piece of rotten lettuce. The sandwich was ok, but again, it was nothing memorable. The black currant ice tea was good. I do not plan to return.

I LOVE Corner Bakery Cafe! The food is perfect for health conscious customers. I took my parents in on Saturday and everything was perfect!!! Service is excellent and selection the best. I'm looking forward to trying all their selections! :D

Food is good as you tend to find across the chain. However, service and management at this location is pretty poor. Service is slow and uninterested. The management appears to be otherwise engaged. Can't really recommend this local version of a longtime favorite.

We have been here a few times for brunch and they have been somewhat inconsistent. They have some real winners on the menu, like the Swiss chilled oatmeal with fruits and nuts. That bowl of cold oatmeal is packed with flavor. I also liked their Anaheim panini sandwich with egg, bacon, avocado and cheese with tomatoes and green onions. Other dishes I haven't been thrilled with, like the All American Scramble. And I am not sure if they have a consistency problem or a change in vendors, but the bacon was really greasy and not very crispy on my last visit. The baked goods that I have sampled have all been really good. The cinnamon rolls are insanely delicious. And my wife will proudly vouch for their carbonara pasta dish. I am not willing to go so far as to proclaim that I am a fan, but it definitely is a place that we will keep on the rotation for sunday brunch.

We went on a Sunday lunch and it was pretty crowded, so waiting bout 20 mins for our food was understandable. My wife and son also had ordered 2 cookies and since they tired of waiting, they ate their cookies before our food came out. They both thought the cookies were really good and moist. My wife and I decided to go with the paninis , turkey and bacon and I got the California, which is vegetarian. My son got the Uptown sandwich that looked like a blt to me. We all liked our food, we thought the bread had good flavor. I just wished my panini had more vegetables on it. The desserts looked really good, but i don't eat sweets anymore. The only problem i had is i wish they had more vegetarian and vegan choices, thats why i gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

My staff and I placed a to go order for breakfast. W all ordered the Baked French Toast and Eggs. I must say that I wasn't thrilled about the French Toast. It didn't taste fresh, when I received the order it was luke warm, and tasted like a cold biscuit. The eggs and the bacon actually pretty good. I was pleased with the amount of bacon the I received, about 5 strips or so, mmm bacon. Overall it was ok, if I return I'll make sure not to order the French toast again.

I had never heard of this place before but needed some lunch and was driving by so I decided to check it out and was pleasantly surprised. The sandwiches were good and were handmade. I was worried I Was going to get some sort of prepackaged sandwich but that wasn't the case. The chili was good too. I also had an iced latte which was pretty tasty. They used a lot of fresh veggies in my sandwich which I really liked. I guess the only star I took off was because the cold cuts in my turkey sandwich were not that great. I guess it was about par with the turkey sandwich I get from Jason's deli. Overall I liked it a lot. I will say I read the other reviews about it being slow. I appreciate places who do not sacrifice their quality to make it fast.

Wow sure wish I had checked Yelp before I checked out this place! I was so excited for a Panera alternative nearby, yet so disappointed after wards. Lukewarm soups, burnt on the outside cold on the inside paninis, cold stale bread and stale chips. Seriously stale chips?!? Spicy Thai Soup....what spicy? It was awful. Only good thing was the desserts, but they don't make them there of course! I have no idea why it's busy....weird.!

If you ever order to take-out, check everything before you leave the place. After getting burned 3 times in a row with a messed up order, I contacted the manager & got absolutely no response or call back. This could be a nice addition to the RR area but their service is LOUSY.

Today, August 11, 2014, I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience today. I ordered my usual: tomato and mozzarella sandwich--delicious as usual. When placing my order, the young man running the register was delightful, asked how I was doing, smiled a lot, thanked me for coming. This is a much improved situation from before. This is the first time there was friendliness at the register. Thank you, Corner Bakery, for at least hiring one customer service oriented employee. In the past, the girls running the registers have been so snarky, displeased looking, have failed to thank me for my patronage, and generally bring down the value of the place. Otherwise, the environment of this place is sunny, cute, lively, with lots of happy chatter. Today, the excellent cashier I spoke of earlier, walked around handing out chocolate cookie samples. The tables around me were cleaned promptly. I didn't have coffee today, but when I have, it was delicious and the coffee bar is fun. Wi-fi is available, bathrooms are clean. Other than the stressful "customer service" from the past and the children's mac and cheese frequently containing burnt pieces, I have no complaints about this place. I think it's quite lovely and have purchased gift cards so my friends can have an enjoyable meal.

I am here at least 1x a week and pretty much everyone knows my name and what I want for lunch!! Everyone here and the food is awesome. I posted about three months ago about the sandwich being tiny with not enough meat and someone responded to me promptly and the next time I came back it was perfect.

Slowest service on EARTH!!! The Manager needs to be replaced along with its entire staff. I would be completely ashamed to be the GM/ DM of this location, it takes them 30mins to wipe off a table, how are you supposed to turn tables and make a real profit if there is nowhere for someone to sit. Send me a massage if you need some consulting on how to run a business. Better yet reach out to one of the RM/DM from Cali to come whip this location into shape. Completely disappointed as the Corner Bakery is one one of my fave restaurants to eat breakfast, I moved from California and was ecstatic about one opening close to me in TX, I bragged about it to some of my acquaintances now I am just embarrassed. See what happens when you make me sit here for 40 mins and just now got my latte, still waiting for my Anaheim scrambler by the way. I could have flown to Anaheim, CA and back quicker than the service I am receiving at this location. Am I rambling darn right I am.

Have eaten here multiple times and always enjoyed it! Once i ordered the wrong vegetarian sandwich and they were so nice about my mistake! Another time an employee saw me outside with my dog and on their way into work ( not even on the clock yet) offered to get him a bowl of water. Awesome staff, thanks for the amazing experiences!

Pros: *Short line at lunch on a Tuesday *Manager was present and was making the rounds to ensure customer satisfaction. *Waitstaff was helpful and cheery. *Healthy options available. *Cashier was more than happy to customize any order to my liking. *Food was hot. *Nice patio. *Breakfast served all day. Cons: *Sandwich (Breakfast Panini thin) was too flimsy to even pick up. Kept breaking into pieces. *Fruit cup was uninspired and included pieces of rind and seeds. *Not many options for vegetarians (other than salad). How about introducing some more veggie sandwiches? *Nothing tasted better than average.

If you like Panera Bread Company, you will probably like this place. Pretty much the same idea. The food did not taste bad, but it was nothing special. I had an egg salad sandwich and the bread was a little too dry, with the actual egg salad being tasty but a bit runny. I sampled a maple nut bar, which was really good, so all in all it evened out. The place was clean enough and seemed to be run efficiently. I am not planning on making this a regular lunch spot, but if the wife wants to go again, I would not object. A thoroughly average experience.

The strawberry mini-bundt cake is why we had strawberry cake for my wedding. Delish...

My husband and I went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch, even though the place was pretty busy service was about 20-25 minutes. I count that "not bad" for a place that was very full. The quality of the food varied, I had the half-moon cheese ravioli and a mixed green salad. Loved the salad but the ravioli was perhaps a half-step up from canned. The sauce on the the ravioli was not particularly flavorful. My husband's meal was much better than mine (and he's usually the one jealous of my meal). He had the chicken pomodori on sourdough which he really liked, I'm a vegetarian so I passed on sampling that. He also had a side of the lentil soup which I did sample and we both loved. So, I foresee a future with lentil soup in a bread bowl or as a side for one of their nice-sounding sandwiches. We will return.

Consistent epic-ness everytime I step thru their doors. The pesto cavatappi is out of this world. The hibiscus tea is delish. And don't get me started on their lemon pound cake.. When I die, bury me here.

Pretty awful. Couldn't get a toasted bagel with cream cheese right. Bagel was semi-toasted, very chewy and not better than something bought at the grocery store. Barely any cream cheese at all. I miss NY bagels! Wish someone could get it right around here.
(2)Chris D.
A little pricey for the portion size but the food was good and I'd probably give it another go but order a full sandwich instead of a half and half combo.

This is truly the best little place in RR. Its nice and quaint inside, great coffee, pastries, and panini breakfast sandwhiches. Ive had their soup there too (tomato, potato)- everythinhg I have had here is good and the prices are great!

I seriously hate overcooked eggs. You know, when they're scrambled and browned? Yuck. My friend's eggs were cooked properly, but she found a macaroni shell in them. When we asked what was up with that, the girl just shrugged and said "it's all in the same place back there". No apology or anything. The place did seem clean and the wait time was not unreasonable, and the young man who took our order was wonderful: friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, but at 7 bucks for scrambled eggs, they should be able to get them to me while they're still yellow. I couldn't recommend the place at all.

A friend and I popped in for mid afternoon coffee and snacks. We placed our orders for cakes out of the display case and took a seat. After about five minutes, we were brought our first pastry. Three minutes later we got silverware. Five minutes after that we finally got our second pastry. About ten minutes after that, I received my lukewarm coffee...after standing up at the counter asking why it had taken 20 minutes. There were about three other customers in the place and five employees working. Having to wait 20 minutes for coffee is ridiculous, especially when I requested skim milk and was given half and half. I was offered a free cookie, but declined. The employees were pleasant, but the time it takes to receive something as simple as cake and coffee is unacceptable.

Never again. Get your orders right and stop being so uppity, ok? It's Corner Bakery, not Perry's!

This was my first time going, for the good, customer service was good at the counter, they were very helpful on what to eat and how to order and very friendly, all three teas were fresh and lemonade was very good for a chain. The place was very clean and a very good job on picking up dirty dishes from tables, now the food was not that hot, " chopped salad " very little chicken with no taste, about 3 tablespoons of avocado , and tomatoes were so Small you didn't know they were their either, and iceberg lettuce? Way more than roman, dressing tasted good, I would not order again! " Harvest Salad " small amount of apples and blue cheese and way over dressed! Sorry for all the other things that were good the food is just typical chain food at best, I will give another try. Just don't claim mom this mom that and you can't make a salad right.
(2)Lisa D.
Great food, horrible service... usually. 20 mins for a toasted bagel and cream cheese...with no one in line before me! My girlfriend was served the stale demo slice of lemon pound cake. When they (finally) get it right, the food is delish, but the employees are clueless.
(2)Dahlia D.
Great place to eat! Don't expect your food to be out in 3 minutes, Its not fast food! Just like a restaurant, it will take a while. Gets busy during lunch but good!
(5)Adam H.
It wasn't what I was hoping for... Friendly staff and sub par food nothing here makes me want to come back. It's a one and done tried it kinda place.
